Breast Augmentation

The breast augmentation is currently one of the most frequent procedures in Portugal. This surgery allows to increase the volume and projection of the breast and offers excellent results which translate into a significant improvement of self-esteem.

This surgical technique is used to increase breasts which are underdeveloped or which have reduced in volume after one or more pregnancies.

Prior to this type of procedure, and in addition to the routine exams that are required, it is essential to carry out a breast scan and ultrasound to detect any eventual presence of breast nodules or cysts.

The prosthesis that are currently used have various shapes, volumes and projections, and must therefore be previously discussed with the patient taking into consideration the individual features of the body and the intended results. At Clínica Ibérico Nogueira we can do a computerized study of image to allow the patient to see the possible different results depending which prosthesis are to be used.
